I thought Belkin was a good company, but this case is cut in a way that does not let me access the bottom of the trackwheel and so I cant turn my Ipod off. Absolutely useless and a waste of the $19 I spent. Do NOT buy this product.
So i open the acrylic case and put my new ipod nano in there and the circle to change songs and volume doesnt match up to the one on the belkin case.i mean shouldnt they test to see if the ipod fits correctly in it before the money grubbing workers send their product out.nope just ship it out as soon as they can wether the product is right or wrong.i highly tell you to not buy this product.i hate it but it does protect the ipod but it doesnt line up.
It fits very snug so there is practically no movement. I wanted something that was very sturdy and competley covered all aspects of my 16GB Nano. I notice no difference when using the click wheel, even though it is covered as well. This does it. The only parts exposed are the hold switch and the data and headphone jack. Some reviews have said it is tough to switch to hold mode, but even though I would classify myself as having short fingernails and "pudgy" fingers, I have no trouble. A very good design and very worth the price.
In my opinion, this is the BEST acrylic case for the Nano. The one oddity I have encountered is a rainbow effect across the screen while wearing sunglasses, but I believe this effect would happen with any clear acrylic case. So far I have never had the case come apart unintentionally.
I like the fact that the top is covered (unlike the Griffin iClear cases). Rather than docking my Nano, I use the mini-plug port to plug it into my home and cars stereos, and have had no problems with any mini-plug I've used with this case. It fits snuggly, and protects all but the syncing port.
It also has extended nubs at the bottom outer edges that help protect the Nano's bottom, while still allowing access to the sync and earbud ports. As others have mentioned, the hold button is a bit hard to operate since I have large fingers, but manageable using my pinky, and worth the minor inconvenience to have the top fully protected. The case snaps together securely, and is easy to pop apart thanks to a tab at the top back section of the case.
While a bit on the pricey side, this is a high-quality case that instills confidence that the iPod is completely protected. I only hope that Belkin continues to make this case for my new Nano 5th generation.
Although the case itself is very strong, trying to get the case to stay together when your ipod slips out of your hand, disconnects from the headphones and plummets to the pavement is a difficult thing. It is a strong case but the design to hold it together in one piece needs work.
